Mechanics and Transport Phenomena
Undergraduate · Engenharia Matemática, IM/UFRJ · 2026.2 · taught in Portuguese
The continuum comes first and fluids follow as a special case. Indicial notation and tensor algebra, kinematics of the continuum, and balance laws built on the Reynolds Transport Theorem. Every central numerical object is implemented once from scratch.
Flow-Based Generative Models
Graduate · PGMAT (semester, with a deep-learning bootcamp) and PESC (trimester) · taught in English
Ten years of flow-based generative modelling converge on one simulation-free framework: Flow Matching. Diffusion models turn out to be a family of particular choices inside it, so they enter through short detours off the main path rather than as a separate theory.
